The incidents of child abuse are increasing with gruesome stories of the merciless killing of innocent children. Girls are discouraged from continuing education after 5th grade due to fear of defamation and stigma on their character. Awareness is being created among school children and teachers against abuse.
ABP&AW, with the support of partner organizations, Oxfam Pakistan, and Development Agent of Change ( DAC ), is building the capacity of the teachers and students in self-protection.
To improve the conviction rate of the accused in cases of child abuse, the capacity of District Investigation Police is being developed in forensic modes of investigation to provide irrefutable prosecution evidence.
