Kitab Dost is aimed at promoting the habit of reading books in school children. The initiative has provided a platform to volunteers, which includes people of all ages ranging from 12 years old students to 70 years old women. Scholars from UK, Australia, and the US are also on the panel of volunteers. The spirit of public service is being fostered in youth and the motto of “Paying back to society” is inculcated. The initiative is a roaring success.
Female volunteers attend girls’ primary schools & males attend boys’ primary schools. The volunteers conduct one-hour story reading sessions (in Urdu/Pashto) in their designated schools for grades 3-5.
