COVID-19 disproportionately affected the most impoverished communities and layered one inequity over another. When the pandemic started and its socio-economic impacts were felt around, ABP&AW mobilized its team to look around for vulnerable communities. Donations were raised to provide ration packages while Hygiene kits were donated by Oxfam Pakistan.
Besides, linkages were developed with various organizations like the KP Ombudsperson Office, Paraplegic center, Oxfam Pakistan, Pakistan US Alumni Network, Development Agent of Change (DAC), Social Assistance Wing Khyber Medical College, Women Chamber of Commerce & Industry (WCCIP), and the Fulbright Alumni Association (FAA) KP chapter.
2000+ families were directly supported whereas 20,000+ families indirectly received support.
