Rural Women Artisan Entrepreneurship

A stencil is made from a thick plastic sheet. A motif is drawn on the sheet and cut out with a cutter. The cut stencil is put on the fabric. The stencil brush is dipped into paint and swirled softly using a light swirling motion for a softer look and for shading. To fill the areas, Pouncing (straight up and down motion) technique is used. For multiple colors, a separate brush is used for each color to avoid color contamination.

Stencil is a special technique taught only in the professional institutes of Visual Arts. Female graduates of Arts Department produce these beautiful designs under direct supervision and guidance from our female Creative Designer.
