Over the years, it has been observed by the Kitab Dost team that many of the storybooks used to improve children’s reading proficiency in Pakistan do not represent local and national cultures, heritages, and languages. We invite creative writers to write age-appropriate (for children aged 4-12) and culturally relevant short stories for out-of-school and marginalized children currently served in the Kitab Dost and Mobile Library programs. The preferred languages of the stories are Pashto, Urdu, and English.
Please ensure that you follow the set guidelines for submitting your story proposal.
